But this is creating unique and heightened security risks for IT professionals, such as higher exposure to data breaches, malware and compliance violations. BYOD is no longer an industry trend; it’s a fact of life for enterprise-wide operations and the IT organizations that must support them.
The access control industry underwent a seismic shift due to the global pandemic. In addition to its traditional security role, the industry had to rapidly adapt to new health and safety mandates, which resulted in the adoption of many new technologies.
Today, as many organizations consider hybrid working models, the access control sector will again be at the forefront of providing solutions that address the need for enhanced security, efficiencies in building occupancy and improved user convenience.
